Emanating from a research into structures of gender, power and representation manifest in abstract objects of Minimal Art, and coming across terms like Eccentric Abstraction (Lucy Lippard) and Post-Minimalism & the Feminine (Robert Pincus-Witten), this series of hand-carved wooden objects tries to merge observations on possible meanings of shapes, the psycho-emotional potential developed towards objects of playful use (Donald and Clare Winnicott), and histories of art that are not yet written. A.L.
